Privacy policy

The app

ViewSkater runs entirely on your computer. It does not send anything anywhere. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no account.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Polar Software, Inc. as the merchant of record. Polar collects the name, email address, country, and payment details needed to process the order and issue a receipt. Card details go to Stripe, Inc., Polar's payment processor, and never reach us. See Polar's privacy policy and Stripe's privacy policy.

Polar and Stripe are located in the United States. Order data is transferred there under their own safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses for EU and UK data. For buyers in Japan: the seller is a sole proprietor in Japan, and order data is handled by these foreign providers.

What we see

We see the buyer's name, email address, and order history in the Polar dashboard. We use this only to deliver downloads and answer support requests. We do not share or sell it.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing the address below. Requests that concern Polar's records are forwarded to Polar.

This website

This site uses GoatCounter to count page views. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data. See GoatCounter's privacy policy. The demo video is streamed from bunny.net, which may log the request as any video host does.
